ASPERA (Australian Screen Production & Education Research Association)
Guest Editors: Dr Sean Maher and Mr Howard Worth
Welcome to this ASPERA (Australian Screen Production & Education Research Association) special issue of IM Journal.
The eight articles have been drawn from two annual ASPERA conferences, “Future Shocks and Wiki-Docs: What next for Documentary?” held at Curtin University in 2011, and “Creativity: the measurable and immeasurable”, held at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 2012. The articles reflect the themes of creativity and developments in documentary and explore issues arising from creative practice based research and factual filmmaking.
We would like to thank all the contributors for their papers and for taking up this opportunity to collaborate with IM Journal to disseminate the rich array of ideas and discussions generated by the annual ASPERA conference.
We extend our appreciation to all the peer reviewers for their valuable feedback and critical inputs and would like to thank Josko Petkovic and Mick Broderick for assisting us in putting together this special edition of IM Journal.
